This is somewhat flexible, easy to read for those of us who do not want to wear our glasses, very accurate, durable and will last an individual a lifetime if not abused.I've used these ruler to scrape things off wood, as sandpaper to remove the slivers from a fresh cut and the ruler does bend somewhat also.Well worth the money spent. I've used this kind of ruler for years and when I got out of the woodworking business, I was always going to purchase one for personal use.
It reads in 8ths, 16ths, 32nds and 64ths. This is the most basic measuring device found in the pocket of any tool and die maker. This is the 6 inch steel rule of my choice that I have been using for over 27 years. Starrett continues to make durable and practical tools. The C604R-12 Steel Rule is an accurate measuring devise made from spring tempered steel that is machine divided and color filled for years of use.
Have to keep a close eye on it. Buy one for your shop and see what ruler everyone wants to borrow.
You can get right down there next to what you are measuring and be EXACT.I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH STARRETT. Thin is the key with this ruler.
I have been in the graphic arts and printing industry for 20 years. WELL worth $25 even though that may seem like a lot to spend on a ruler.
I work for a label printing company. This is the ONLY ruler that I would EVER want to use.
Have to engrave my name on it and even then it keeps disappearing.
